Gant is accused of robbery and attempted murder as well as other charges. On July 20, 2014 at around 4:00 a.m. the defendant robbed the victim at gunpoint and proceeded to flee the scene. While being pursued by responding officers, the defendant pointed his gun at the officers and they reported hearing clicking noises, however the gun did not discharge.
