The first incident occurred on August 16, 2000 at approximately 5:30 a.m. in a laundromat at 1174 Webster Avenue. The second alleged rape occurred on November 4, 2010 in a sport utility vehicle in a parking lot at a shopping center at 1944 Bruckner Boulevard.

The bodies of the mother and newborn child were discovered on Thursday, October 25, 2012 when firefighters went to an apartment at 3034 Albany Crescent, the Bronx in response to a fire that the defendant allegedly had set.

H60 05/28/2013	Francisco Payano	Payano, a New York City Police Officer, is indicted on charges of perjury and other offenses in connection with his testimony about sales of illegal narcotic drugs that never occurred. The indictment alleges that on March 19, 2009 Payano gave false testimony to a grand jury 13 times and also lied under oath a total of 36 times on January 22, 2010 and January 27, 2010, during a hearing in State Supreme Court. The purpose of the hearing was to determine “probable cause” for the arrest of an alleged drug dealer on January 2, 2009.

The overwhelming majority of the illegal drug sales occurred on a corridor along White Plains Road from 211th Street to 241st Street, within the coverage area of the 47th Precinct.

H60 06/14/2013	Daryl Hemphill	Hemphill is charged with Murder in the shooting death of David Pacheco, a 2-year-old toddler who was caught in the crossfire of a gunfight, on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2006. The toddler was struck and killed by a stray bullet while sitting in a child seat in his family’s vehicle at the intersection of Harrison and East Tremont Avenues.
Cruz, J. 1997/2012 Pt. H94 06/14/2013	Joey Scott	Scott is charged with manslaughter in the death of a 65-year-old school bus driver, Juan Delvalle. The incident occurred shortly before noon on June 11, 2012 in front of 1920 Anthony Avenue where the deceased bus driver became involved in an accident with a car that was double parked.

Wiczyk, O. 3297/2011 Pt. H60 06/17/2013	Jose Ramos	Ramos, a New York City Police Officer, is charged with crimes stemming from more than half a dozen different incidents that occurred between March 10, 2009 and November 11, 2009. Ramos has been charged with attempted robbery, attempted grand larceny, transporting what he believed to be a shipment of heroin for drug dealers, selling counterfeit CDs and DVDs in his barbershops, and disclosing the identity of a confidential informant who was providing information on a series of shootings and homicides.

H60 06/17/2013	Jose Ramos and Wanda Abreu	Ramos, a New York City Police Officer, and his wife Abreu have been charged in a new indictment with conspiring to hire a “hit” man to murder a witness in a criminal case against Ramos. It is alleged in court papers that the defendants from September 15, 2011 and continuing through May 7, 2012, attempted to arrange the contract killing through face to face meetings and telephone calls, some of which were recorded at a detention facility on Rikers Island, where Ramos is awaiting trial.

H92 06/18/2013	Rondell Pinkerton and Ronald Jeffrey	Pinkerton and Jeffrey are charged with murder and other offenses in connection with a gun battle in which 4-year-old Lloyd Morgan was killed and two other people were wounded. The deadly shooting occurred on Sunday, July 22, 2012 on the grounds of the Forest Houses shortly after 9:30 in the evening.

H60 06/18/2013	Michael Lippman	Lippman, a former Counsel to the Bronx Public Administrator, is charged with Grand Larceny, Scheme to Defraud, Offering a False Instrument for Filing, Falsifying Business Records, and Conflict of Interest. The investigation uncovered evidence that the defendant allegedly charged the estates of five individuals $300,000 in excessive legal fees and filed fraudulent documents with the Surrogate Court in order to conceal the thefts.

The fatal shooting occurred on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 during an outdoor vigil in the vicinity of 2427 Webster Avenue.

H60 07/02/2013	Reinaldo Romero	Romero is charged with multiple counts including Criminal Sale of a Firearm , Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and other offenses. He was indicted and arrested along with thirteen people that have been charged with selling approximately one hundred and forty illegal firearms, including handguns, assault weapons, bulletproof vests, and high capacity ammunition feeding devices to undercover detectives during the course of two unrelated long term investigations conducted jointly with the New York City Police Department. The first investigation was from April 7, 2011 through November 19, 2012 and a second investigation from January 17, 2012 through January 8, 2013.

Singer, R. 43859/2010 Pt. H78 07/11/2013	Angel Gurity	Gurity is charged with murder in the brutal stabbing death of a 24-year-old Altagracia Valdez in March 1993. The murder occurred in the Gerard Avenue apartment of the deceased where she was stabbed repeatedly in the neck and right shoulder.
Burgess-Capers, K. 4538/2010 Pt. T22 07/11/2013	Michael Clare	Clare, a 38-year-old minister and principal of a church affiliated school, is charged with Rape, Criminal Sexual Act, Sexual Abuse, Assault, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The alleged crimes occurred beginning on April 1, 2006, several months before the victim’s 13th birthday, and continued for more than three and a half years, through January 2, 2010 when the victim was 16-years-old.
Rosenfeld, P. 531/2013 Pt. H92 07/19/2013	Casmine Aska	Aska is charged with attempted murder and other offenses for allegedly throwing 9-year-old Freddy Martin from the roof of an apartment building. The incident occurred on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 1545 Nelson Avenue in the Morris Heights section of the Bronx.
Gensler, T. 1436/2013 Pt. H60 08/07/2013	Luis Pacheco	Pacheco, an alleged principal player in the ‘Woodycrime’ crew, is charged with Attempted Murder, Assault, Reckless Endangerment, Criminal Possession of a Weapon and other offenses. Pacheco has been charged with two shootings. In one incident, which occurred on November 9, 2011, Pacheco allegedly shot Nicholas Barbour in the back with a .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol on West 165th Street and Woodycrest Avenue. The other shooting for which Pacheco was indicted occurred on January 16, 2011 when he allegedly fired in the direction of a crowd of people, on East 161st Street and Gerard Avenue, striking Marvin Fortuna in the hand.

H78 08/08/2013	Nouel Alba	Alba is charged with a scheme to fraudulently solicit donations for one of the victims of the massacre at The Sandy Hook Elementary School last December. It is alleged that in the immediate aftermath of the fatal shootings in Newtown, Connecticut, Alba posted information on a Facebook account in which she falsely claimed to be an aunt of the deceased 6-year-old victim Noah Pozner. Alba became a target of investigators days after the shootings on December 14, 2012 as soon as it was established that she was unrelated to the Pozner family.
Valerio, R. 2013BX011763 Pt. H94 08/16/2013	Bahsid McLean	McLean is charged with Murder, Manslaughter, and Unlawful dissection of the body of a human being. It is alleged in court papers that between 6:00 PM on February 24, 2013 and 9:00 AM February 25, 2013 McLean caused the death of his mother Tanya Byrd, 45, by stabbing her in her apartment at 645 Westchester Avenue.
